USAIN BOLT further etched his name in the annals of track and field history last night by achieving what no other man has ever done.
The super star Jamaican sprinter crowned himself in glory by winning the men’s 100 metres Olympic final for an unprecedented third successive time at the 31st Olympiad in Rio.
After a typically sluggish start, Bolt motored down the track in the second phase of the race to go past American Justin Gatlin and cross the line in a season best time of 9.81 seconds.
As he moved towards his place in history, Bolt punched his chest during the last five metres knowing that he was on the verge of pulling off his monumental feat. (HG)
