YMCA CAPITA FINANCE Wildcats are the Barbados Amateur Basketball Association’s (BABA) Summer Jam Under-19 champions for the third consecutive year.

In an exciting final, the Wildcats defeated Burger King Clapham Bulls 81-78, but it was not so easy to retain the title as the Bulls put up a tough fight last Sunday night at the Barbados Community College.

“Last year’s tournament was a lot easier. We did not have the all-out competition in the end so we won that final very, very easily. But the talent level is growing and every year now it is going to be a lot harder,” Wildcats’ coach Adrian Craigwell told MIDWEEK SPORT.

He said it was a lot of hard work and the players had been going all year round, training extremely hard on Saturday evenings. (JC)
