MARK MALONEY is in pole position going into round three of the 2016 Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) at Bushy Park on Sunday.
But the Barbados team will have to up the ante at the Williams Digicel International Race Meet as the Trinidadians’ Team Tigers lead the overall CMRC Country Championship with 799 points.
Jamaica are second on 465, followed by Guyana on 276, some 74 points ahead of Barbados, with the Cayman Islands (60 points) and CAMS/USA (four points), completing the table.
Maloney, who is very familiar with the redesigned racing track in St Philip, leads the CMRC Group 4 for two-wheel drives after the first two rounds of the championship at the Jamwest Raceway in Jamaica in March and the Frankie Boodram Wallerfield International Raceway in Trinidad & Tobago last month.
