ALL Amber Joseph did was participate in a triathlon and found a love for cycling.

Now, she has gained a silver medal in the gruelling six-event omnium at the Junior Pan American Track Cycling Championships in Trinidad and Tobago.

Joseph mustered 213 points from the omnium, just one point behind gold medallist Summer Moak of the United States.

“It was a really good experience to be able to represent my country and I cannot wait to come back next year to compete again. I was asked by the president of the Barbados Cycling [Union] to represent my country and I thought it would be a good experience to do it, so I did it,” she told WEEKENDSPORT yesterday. (JC)
