Man charged in relation to Wotton shooting

A MAN HAS been remanded to prison in connection with last Thurday’s shooting in Wotton, Christ Church.

He is 25-year-old Jomo Nasta Shaka Sobers of Ashby Land, Lodge Road in the same parish.

He appeared in the Oistins Magistrates Court yesterday and pleaded not guilty to charges of violent disorder and use of a firearm.

Sobers will reappear in court on October 3.

The early morning shooting incident left a number of people injured, including the accused. Homes and vehicles were also damaged. (PR/NB)
