THERE IS more bang for the buck when it comes to training women, but it’s harder to sell the idea to young men who seemed only interested in getting a job.
That is the view of Minister of Labour Senator Dr Esther Byer Suckoo, who yesterday lamented that men were not attracted to training and developmental programmes like their female counterparts.
She expressed her concerns to journalists after the launch of a three-month Mompreneurship programme for 30 single mothers at the Ellerton Wesleyan Holiness Church, which is a project of the Hands Extended Reaching Out (HERO) charity.
“I am concerned that there are young men who seem to think that their fate is decided by society, by their economic situation, the job, the absence of a father, whatever. (YB)
