THE VECTOR CONTROL UNIT of the Ministry of Health continues its efforts to eradicate the Aedes Aegypti mosquito next week when its fogging programme moves into several parishes.
On Monday, September 12, areas to be fogged in St Andrew, St Joseph and St John are Coggins Hill, Chalky Mount, Cambridge, Codrington School, Society, College Land, Sargeant Street and the environs.
On Tuesday, September 13, the team will be in St Michael and St James, fogging University Drive with Avenues, University Hill, Free Hill with Avenues, Free Hill Crescent, Black Rock, Desert Rose Drive, Wanstead Gardens, Wanstead Heights, Oxnards Heights, Husbands Heights, Husbands Development and surrounding areas.
On Wednesday, September 14, fogging continues in Christ Church and St Michael. A team will be in Lower Amity Lodge, Rendezvous Hill, Brewster’s Road, Worthing Main Road, Bamboo Ridge, Craigg Road, Beckles Road, Harmony Hall and neighbouring districts.
Another team will visit Whitepark Road, Mahogany Lane, Sobers Lane, Lightfoot Lane, Chapman Street, Hunte Street, King Street, Passage Road, Strathclyde Barbarees Hill, Thornes Gap, Kensington Lodge, Baxter’s Road and the environs.
On Thursday, September 15, the fogging exercise continues in St James in Lower Carlton with Avenues, Baird’s Road, Doughlin Road, Weston, Crick Hill and Mount Standfast. And on that same evening, areas to be sprayed in St Peter will be Mile and a Quarter, Olton Road, Ashton Road, Clarke’s Road, Corbin Road, Reservoir Road, Millionaire Road, Station Hill, The Whim and surrounding areas.
Householders are reminded to open their doors and windows to allow the spray to enter. The fogging exercise runs from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day. (BGIS)
