PRESIDENT of the Barbados Netball Association Nisha Craigwell is appealing for assistance to send the national Under-21 team to Botswana for the 2017 Youth World Cup.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the 37th annual Barbados Workers’ Union Netball Tournament at the Netball Stadium on Sunday, Craigwell told the audience it would cost more than $100 000 to get to the African country for the July 8-16 championship.

“Our team will be representing all of us, I therefore appeal to all persons to make a contribution to make this possible for our country. We want to win, we want our athletes to do well, and we want to share in the pride of being successful. This can only be possible when we come together and make this happen,” she said.  (RA)
