BRIAN “THE ACTION MAN” TALMA will be paddling around Barbados to show his gratitude.

The veteran surfer has been instrumental in attracting numerous visitors through the beach culture, and was selected as one of the island’s 25 sporting icons who made a significant contribution to sports over the years.

Talma told SATURDAY SPORT to express his thankfulness he will be paddling around the island this coming Tuesday, and depending on how he feels he may even make the trip twice.

“I really appreciate it and I do not take it for granted. This is to show my appreciation to Barbados.

“That’s what sport is really all about; it’s about feeling the grind and pushing. Getting that award was about that grind, pushing really hard. It means a lot because it separates you from other people . . . It really means a lot.” (RG)
