Garner hits back

FIRST, he bounced them; then he yorked them.

President of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA), Joel Garner, has hit back at critics of his being simultaneously manager of the West Indies cricket team on a three-year contract.

Garner, the legendary former West Indies fast bowler, described the campaign by a small faction of the membership long opposed to his presidency and their surrogates in the media, as “sniping” in an effort to discredit some members. 

“The board was still able to complete a three-year strategic plan despite little or no effort or input from them,” Garner said. (AB)
