Two held in connection with seizure of guns, ammo

TWO MEN ARE CURRENTLY in police custody assisting with investigations into the seizure of a number of firearms and assorted ammunition.

A release from the Royal Barbados Police Force said members of the Major Crime and Tactical Response Units conducted an operation at Blades Hill #2, St Philip last Thursday.

During the exercise “a large quantity of assorted ammunition, a number of fire arms, and a quantity of cannabis were seized”.

No names have been released at this time.

Police say this is part of their efforts to stem the flow of illegal guns in the country. (PR/SAT)
