THE TRINIDADIAN OWNERS OF Accra Beach Hotel are planning to construct a 42-room, five-storey hotel in the middle of the upscale seaside community of Sea Rocks, Enterprise, Christ Church.

But residents are upset and say they have received no responses to the numerous letters, to Chief Town Planner Mark Cummins, outlining their concerns about the impact of the hotel on their neighbourhood, which is located just opposite the popular Enterprise Beach.

The proposed hotel is in an area which is the boyhood home of trade unionist Patrick Frost, and the current home of Stella Lady St John, paediatrician Professor Anne St John, former manager of the Hilton Hotel Hamilton Hendy and the rectory of Christ Church Parish Church. The half-acre lot sold for $2.2 million.

The area has a guest house and a small hotel. (HLE)
