LET’S FACE IT – there’s a warrant out to capture your mind. If the report in the Sunday Sun, September 11, is correct, the US Embassy made an unapologetic effort to control the mindset of journalists from all media houses across Barbados by training them to rationalise the illogic of sexual rights via the use of language.
The training exercises were designed to bring about an evolution of thought in the minds of the journalists and then to feed this manufactured mindset to the wider public. What the newspaper did not note, was how such indoctrination was received by an audience that is supposed to be analytical. Euphemisms may soften, but do not change facts. When they are used to deliberately infiltrate a culture as part of another country’s foreign policy, they are just another indication that our developing countries are not as independent as we assume.
In April of this year, the Royal Commonwealth Society published a Commonwealth Toolkit For Policy Progress On LGBT Rights. It does not matter that 40 of 53 Commonwealth States are of one mind with regards to buggery. Neither does it matter that only two of the 53 states have changed their constitution to include the scientifically baseless concept of “sexual orientation”.
We must all conform to the dictates of the rich and powerful and change our laws to accommodate the curious, untenable notion of “self-defined gender identity”. The glossary of the toolkit defines gender identity as “a person’s conception of oneself as male or female or both or neither” (p.18). It seriously proposes that right-thinking people change their minds to accept this definition despite the biological, psychological and physiological evidence to the contrary. Indeed, we must not only believe it ourselves, but once we have been sufficiently programmed, we must drill this delusion it into the minds of our children if our societies are to continue to be sustained by foreign aid.
There is nothing new under the sun and, no matter what our world view may be, most of the popular ideas that we espouse have been pre-thought and pre-digested.
So let’s face it – everybody is out to control your mind. The Bible is the most persistent mind changer of all but unlike the carrot stick manoeuvres of a depraved humanity, it is upfront about its agenda and makes no bones about not just changing, but actually transforming minds.
There is no doubt that our minds are being manipulated by forces greater than ourselves. The only question, from self to self is, “who will I allow to be master of my mind?” Given a choice between the unchanging Word of God on the one hand, and the ever evolving ideologies of the materially rich but spiritually impoverished nations of the Western world, I’ll go with God and Jesus Christ. Shifting ground and sinking sand seem risky for moulding as invaluable an asset as the human mind.
