BENNETT KING hasn’t ruled out the possibility of returning to coach West Indies for a second time.
Nine years after he resigned before the expiration of a three-year contract, the Australian has an open mind as the regional authorities go in search of a replacement for the sacked Phil Simmons.
King was hired as the first non-West Indian coach of the regional team in 2004 but quit after the side failed to advance to the semi-finals of the 2007 World Cup, when he felt the West Indies Cricket Board was not going renew his contract.
“I got approached the first time. I didn’t apply. I was asked to apply the last time.”
