DOUBLE OLYMPIC gold medallist Christian Taylor wants to change allegiances if given the opportunity.

This he has stated publicly and reaffirmed to the media Wednesday evening at the Bouganvillea Beach Resort in Maxwell, Christ Church, where he met with athletes of the Christ Church Foundation team and the University of the West Indies Blackbirds.

“Before I could represent Barbados there is going to be quite a process, regardless. The [United States] has to release me, and the process is definitely ongoing, but it’s something I’ve been planning since two years ago when I visited here,” he said.

Explaining that he has already begun the process to obtain a Barbadian passport, he said he was still awaiting receipt of the official document to legally state he is a Barbadian. (RA)
