AN ELDERLY PENSIONER has been left annoyed and shaken after an apparently drunk driver and his two intoxicated friends crashed into her guard wall, destroying plants and breaking down a fence.

In the early hours of Monday morning, 66-year-old Veta Wilkinson said she was awakened when she heard a rumbling below her Factory Avenue, The Pine, St Michael apartment.

Too scared to move but too curious to ignore the loud noise Wilkinson, who suffers from high blood pressure, said that she rushed downstairs in the dark only to see a Toyota Land Cruiser 100 stuffed in her plants.

“A fella who sounded Jamaican hopped out and the thing that upset me is that he didn’t even apologise or anything but asked if I want to help lift out his car,” she said. (MR)
