Police probing gas station burglary

POLICE ARE CONDUCTING investigations into a case of aggravated burglary which occurred at the SOL Service Station at Jackmans, St Michael, around 8 p.m. last night.

Preliminary investigations revealed that three masked men, one armed with a firearm, entered the establishment and demanded cash from the cashier before escaping with an undisclosed sum of money.

The culprits also robbed a male customer of jewellery and cash.

Anyone who can provide information to assist with these investigations is asked to contact the police emergency number 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477), CID District ‘A’ at 430-7220, or the nearest police station.

Police reminded the general public, business owners and employees to exercise greater vigilance at this time of year due to “darker conditions in the environment”

Residents have also been asked to pay special attention to suspicious people or activities. (PR/NB)
