Road Closure at Blackman’s Junction

THE BARBADOS Water Authority (BWA) wishes to inform the public that due to ongoing works in package ‘B’ of the mains laying project, the road at Blackman’s Junction along Highway 3 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today.

For northbound traffic ‘road closed’ signs will be placed at the junction of Cottage and Highway 3 and the junction of Andrews Factory and Redlands Farm.

Detour signs will be placed by Andrews Factory, Redland, Wilson Hill and Easy Hall to allow traffic to re-join Highway 3 at Lammings.

The road will be blocked at the northern boundary of Andrews Factory.

Residents within Parris Hill will have access through the development road running along the northern boundary of Andrews Factory.

For southbound traffic “road closed” signs will be placed at Highway 3 at the junction with Lammings and Highway 3A. Detour signs will be placed at Lammings, Easy Hall, Wilson Hill and Redland to direct traffic to re-join Highway 3 at Sweet Vale.

Another diversion route will be along Highway 3A. Detour signs will be placed at Blackmans, Airy Hill and Fisher Pond directing motorists to re-join Highway 3 at Fisher Pond. The road will be blocked at Parris Hill.

The BWA advises motorists and pedestrians to follow the signs and instructions from personnel on location.
