DARIAN KING is in the semi-finals of yet another ATP Challenger.

Playing on court one, Barbados’ top-ranked tennis pro downed American fifth seed Dennis Novikov 7-5, 6-2 in today’s quarter-finals to advance to the final four of the Challenger event in Tiburon, California.

It’s the third semi-final showing at a Challenger event this year for the 24-year-old Bajan ace, who won successive tournaments in Colombia and New York in July.

King, ranked 165 in the world, is awaiting the winner of a later quarter-final between rising American star Frances Tiafoe and compatriot Mackenzie McDonald. (JM)
