YUH GAWH BE KIDDIN’: Work as usual during storm

THANK YOU LORD fuh de lil rain, although lil may be an understatement cause I saw pictures of some serious flooding ’bout de place.

Then de high winds push down plenty of banana trees and big tall ones that I have no idea what the names of them are. So with weather like this one would figure that everyone inside wrap up tight and put way until the all clear is given.

Well, it is a good thing I ain’t put any money on that because I would’ve lost the little pittance that I have. Imagine that around 8 a.m. an old man outside standing on the side of the road talking ’bout he waiting on a bus?

Tell me where um is he did gine in this weather, cause as far as I knew only places that offered essential services were open. My man stood up there for a good hour and a half before he gave up and made his way back inside. If yuh doubt me, ask me.

But while I am on the topic of places that are considered as establishments of essential services. Yuh know, like the hospital, fire service, police stations and any other emergency medical centres. Why on earth would a restaurant decide that it should be placed in that category and open its doors?

Furthermore, who dem get to work? Whoever employees went to work during that weather to that said restaurant deserves a 100 per cent raise, ’cause lemme tell you something I was not leaving my house. The Lord Himself would have to come down and tell me it was my calling to go and serve food.

Restaurant style through storm

But again I ask, to whom would I be serving this food? Seriously let we think bout it, I can kinda understand the supermarket opening giving people the last chance to get things they needed, but a restaurant? What could possibly happen that justifies us going into your establishment during bad weather?

Maybe the current went off so then we had to cook everything in the fridge before it went bad, however, when were reach the stove we realised that the gas was gone.

So no gas and no electricity so that means we can’t use the microwaves nor toaster ovens. But then we realize we have tin foods, but the opener was electric as well and because we can only open tins with an electric opener (insert sarcasm here), we had no other choice but to risk life, so we can go into the restaurant and spend an arm and a leg on food. Man look, slap me and call me George. People I hope y’all stayed as safe as possible, hear.
