MUCH HAS appeared in the NATION newspaper about the Rasta couple and their two children who have not been placed in a Government school, etc. and some people in “high places” are lamenting over the lack of the children’s education.
However, it has so far been established that the children have not been disadvantaged. But the antagonists are spouting the law, the law. Have they forgotten that the law is an ass?
However, I fully agree with the law which insists that every child gets an education. But we have to admit that man-made law is not perfect and so that law we have may have to be amended.
Who can categorically say that the children in question are dumb? Who can say their behaviour is nasty? That the ones in the school system outshine the two Rasta children in every respect? I believe the children and parents should have been quietly monitored. Am I to take it that some overrated and overpaid “big-ups” are scared out of their wits that the Rasta parents outshine the Ministry of Education and are using the law to blind the people.
Let me say that the parents seem to have a united and constructively focused family. Now what do you think would happen to that closely knit family if the court separates them; parents from children and the latter from each other?
And by the way, please tell the bosses great and small that if they place the children in the care of the state within a short space of time the girl will be wearing an invisible top above the navel and a thong below.
I think they, especially the boy, would hate their enemies. Are we breeding criminals and terrorists and are unaware of it? Ask the great ones to chew on that.
