Man charged in Hawkesworth killing

POLICE HAVE CHARGED a 32-year-old man in the shooting death of Christopher Hawkesworth (below).

He is Philip Mark Anthony Griffith of Butlers Ave, Spooners Hill, St Michael. christopher-hawkesworth

Griffith is expected to appear before the Holetown Magistrate Court today.

The body of Hawkesworth of Rock Dundo Heights, St Michael was discovered on October 1 in the car he had been driving, parked off the road in a bushy track which leads from Mullins Road to Bakers, St Peter.

He was shot in the back of the head.

This was one day after his wife Kim had reported the 54-year-old missing. Hawkesworth went to take the children to school but did not return. (PR/SAT)
