FOLLOW THE PROPER procedures as they relate to fire drills!

That’s the word from the island’s highest ranking fire official when it comes to the action which should be taken in the event of a fire or even a fire drill.

Acting Chief Fire Officer Errol Maynard’s advice has come in the wake of a posting of a social media video by an employee in the midst of a fire drill.

Former iMart employee Tammy Edwards was fired after she posted a video on Instagram which showed her exiting Sheraton Mall during a fire drill on Tuesday.

In the video, Edwards is seen making fun about the fact that there was no fire at the Christ Church Mall, and that there was no reason for an evacuation.
