A NUMBER OF DISTRICTS are without water today as the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) fights to fix two mains in St Michael.

A four-inch main in Deighton has ruptured leaving the neighbourhoods of Bayland, Deighton, Chelsea and even as far as Bay Street without water.

And the BWA’s communications specialist Joy-Ann Haigh, said crews were back on the scene of the 15-inch main behind the Springer Memorial School, on Government Hill, as it appeared that one had ruptured again.

Yesterday, that rupture affected service to Belleville, Belmont Road, Tweedside Road, George Street, Roebuck Street ‎and in the City of Bridgetown.  (HLE)
