BLP has new chairman

GEORGE PAYNE is the new chairman of the Barbados Labour Party.

Payne took over the chairmanship from party leader Mia Mottley after Cynthia Forde withdrew from the race this afternoon at the party’s annual conference at The Lester Vaughan School.

Results for the other positions of the executive should be known later today. (YB)
