Mottley: Not the way to treat vendors

OPPOSITION LEADER Mia Mottley is sympathising with the plight of vendors who have to remove their structures from an area in the River Van Stand by Sunday.

Mottley and her fellow Barbados Labour Party (BLP) members yesterday visited several of the vendors, who were given ten days to vacate the premises on which they had been operating for decades.

She sent a message to Government that there “cannot be two Barbadoses”.

“You cannot treat one set of people one way, and another set of people another way. To begin with, how we put a face on how we deal with people in this country is absolutely important,” she told the media. (AD)
