ERROL MARSHALL just wanted to enjoy the rainy day like many other Barbadians did yesterday.
Instead, however, the 82-year-old, of Worthing, Christ Church, was forced to deal with foul-smelling, toilet paper-ridden effluent gushing from a sewage manhole in his yard.
His property is one of those connected to the malfunctioning South Coast Sewerage system, which has seen raw waste flowing into the streets from manholes in recent weeks.
Pointing to the bits of toilet tissue that remained on the ground, Marshall said earlier that yesterday, the waste had been gushing from his covered manhole like a fountain. (AD)
