D’S MEGA STYLES Christ Church Foundation took a strong position on a low-scoring first day of the Barbados Cricket Association’s Schools final, positioning themselves for first innings honours over St Leonard’s Boys’ yesterday.
After Foundation won the toss and electing to field, the bowlers wasted little time in rolling over the Richmond Gap boys for a measly 65 in 36 overs before finishing the day on 43 for two.
Barbados Under-19 left-arm fast bowler Dominic Drakes led the rout, taking three wickets for 14 runs and was ably supported by spinners Shakeem Blades (off-spin) and Pius Emillien (left-arm orthodox), who took three for 17 and two for 14, respectively.
Only two St Leonards batsmen, Camarie Boyce (14 not out) and Deswin Currency (14), reached double figures.
