PARENTS OF STUDENTS at the Combermere School have already started to seek alternative choices.
President of the National Council of Parent Teacher Associations (NCPTA), Shone Gibbs, said “numerous” parents have already contacted the umbrella body seeking information on the process involved in seeking to have their children continue their education elsewhere, should the current environmental issues at the Waterford, St Michael school not be solved quickly.
According to Gibbs, the parents are concerned mostly about students in fourth and fifth forms, who are preparing for CXC exams within the next two or three years.
“We have received calls directly about transfers,” Gibbs told the SUNDAY SUN. “There have been numerous requests on the matter,” Gibbs suggested.
