BETTER LATE than never!
Rhett Cumberbatch snatched his first ever senior title in the final of the inaugural Barbados Squash Association/ Barbados Olympic Association’s Premier Squash Championship on Sunday.
The former junior champion and second seed put on an impressive performance to beat Josiah Griffith 11-5, 7-11, 11-9, 11-7.
After surviving Saturday’s semi-final, Cumberbatch came to the courts with the intention of creating history before he never got the chance, he said.
He played an exceptional first game, forcing Griffith into making a number of crucial errors. (RG)
