D’S MEGA STYLES Christ Church Foundation occupied the wicket for the entire second day to take a virtually impregnable position over St Leonard’s Boys in the final of the Barbados Cricket Association’s schools’ competition yesterday.

Led by a composed unbeaten 73 from Barbados Under-19 all-rounder Dominic Drakes, Foundation closed on 222 for nine, a lead of 157 runs.

Drakes, caught off a no-ball when only one, batted for over three hours, faced 159 balls and counted four boundaries and a six while featuring in a series of handy partnerships.

St Leonard’s, invited to bat, were dismissed for 65 on the first day.

All the bowlers were made to toil on a slow, unyielding surface for seven wickets off 64 overs yesterday, with spinners Camarie Boyce and Darrell Babb returning figures of three wickets for 44 and 48, respectively.
