WEST TERRACE PRIMARY had every reason to celebrate yesterday after earning a place in the final of the Guardian Group Herman Griffith Primary Schools’ Cricket Competition.
The 2014 champions set up a showdown against three-time champions Bayley’s Primary at the Empire Club ground on Thursday after defeating St Giles by seven wickets in a hard-fought contest at Dover.
St Giles made a competitive 106 off 25 overs that included useful contributions from Shakeem Marshall (26) and Sanchez Aymes (18).
Christopher Naraine took two wickets for West Terrace, who were guided to the target in 23.4 overs with the help of Zion Brathwaite’s unbeaten 40 and support from Brandon Hinds (17) and Ajanni Williams (15). (Barbados Nation)
