RELATIVES OF 11-month-old Nazari Smith, whose 29-year-old mother Natasha Smith died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) after she gave birth last December 30, are appealing for help in getting him medical assistance.
He is awaiting surgery to remove fluid from his brain.
Felicia Smith told the MIDWEEK NATION that her grandson, who is in her care, also needed a suction machine to clear his airway to help him breathe better.
Speaking at her home in Hinkson Gap, Danesbury, Black Rock, St Michael, Smith said the baby also needed a pram because his oversized head, the result of the fluid on his brain, made him heavier than he should be at his age. (AH)
