Track Worry

HORSE TRAINER Sean Hall is contending that the race track at the Garrison Savannah is unsatisfactory, and efforts must be made to do better.

In an interview with WEEKENDSPORT yesterday, the former top jockey said the track, which was relaid last year, is in a poor condition.

“I am only one trainer who felt that it is not a good track, and has not been for a long time. When the track was relaid, certain parts were done lower than how it was before. Right now a good percentage of the track holds a lot of water because some parts are high, while others are low causing a soup bowl-type effect,” he said.

The former jockey, who recently returned from Canada after 19 years to resume training horses, said that “people seem to be on a different level and way of thinking than I am, and nobody can say anything to them”. (RA)
