A ST MICHAEL WOMAN will spend Christmas behind bars after appearing in court today charged with importation of five firearms.
Twenty-nine-year-old Skye Yasmin Lecreta Murray of Perry Gap, Roebuck Street, St Michael was not required to plead to the charges of importation and possession of firearms.
She was remanded until January 12, 2017 when she appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick in District A Magistrates Court today.
Murray was represented by attorney Marlon Gordon.
According to police, Murray went to the Bridgetown Port on December 15 to clear a barrel labelled personal effects. During a search by Customs officers, five disassembled firearms were allegedly discovered concealed among food stuff. (TKS)
