ZR driver charged in connection with fatal accident

A CHANCE HALL, St Lucy man is expected to appear in the District “D” Magistrates’ court today charged with causing death by dangerous driving. 

The charge against 27-year-old Tristan Phillips stems from the November 20 fatal accident which claimed the life of 17-year-old Tre Sobers of Mount Gay, St Lucy. 

Sobers was a passenger in route taxi ZR135 which was driven by Phillips. The teenager died at the scene after the van overturned. (PR/NB)
