DEAR CHRISTINE, I was in love with a man who went overseas last year. I never thought I could love anyone after he left.
In January, I met another man who is exactly what any woman would fall for.
After being close for just one day all my love for the first man had changed. After having sex with the new man my mind was completely made up.
I found my new man not only talks about sex, but could back up his mouth, as he knows what to do.
Now the problem is that the man of the past will soon be returning and the present man says we are finished.
I have told him that I was no longer interested in that man, but he still says he is going.
I am in a dilemma and don’t know what to do.

Dear HL,
If you have told your present boyfriend that you are not interested in the man of the past and he still insists in going, then you’ll have to look to the future.
The only pathway out of your dilemma is to look also for qualities of companionship when next you form a relationship with a man you are physically attracted to.
If you settle for less, then the present experience will repeat itself. For whenever he (whoever he is) has had enough, he will use any excuse to get out of something that is only a body to use.
– CHRISTINE
