THE APARTMENTS at the controversial Government housing development, The Grotto, St Michael, are being filled.

An investigation by the DAILY NATION revealed that last month, at least four apartments in Block 4 of the three-year-old National Housing Corporation (NHC) units were being occupied.

When a NATION team visited the complex yesterday workers were putting on the finishing touches on the other unoccupied units.

One worker said several residents had been handed the keys to Block 4 but had not moved in as yet due to the lack of utilities. He added that while most were still waiting, some had already moved in and there were at least four electrical meters installed and running on the block. (AD)
