Roland-Bowen cut from show

A DAY AFTER the Barbados Road Safety Association (BRSA) highlighted numerous potholes plaguing the island’s roads, the appearance of its president, Sharmaine Roland-Bowen, on a television programme was brought to a screeching halt.

Roland-Bowen confirmed to the WEEKEND NATION that she would no longer be appearing on the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation’s (CBC) Mornin’ Barbados programme as a guest on the show on Wednesday mornings.

During that slot, the BRSA sought to educate motorists and pedestrians on how to use the roads safely.

Last Wednesday the BRSA, led by Roland-Bowen, embarked on an initiative to alert motorists of impending potholes by placing markers a short distance away. (RB)
