FOURTEEN OFFICERS will get the chance to challenge a judge’s decision to throw out a case in which they questioned their omission from a promotions list.

The Court of Appeal comprising Chief Justice Marston Gibson, Justice of Appeal Kaye Goodridge and Justice of Appeal Andrew Burgess yesterday set March 22 as the date for hearing the appeal.

Attorney at law Ralph Thorne QC, who represents the officers, has until February 7 to file and serve skeleton arguments while lawyer Tariq Khan and Deputy Solicitor General Donna Brathwaite QC were given until March 8 to respond.

Brathwaite represented the Attorney General while Khan acted on behalf of the Police Service Commission. (TKS)
