Potholes nothing new, says Jones

POTHOLES MAY CAUSE havoc on the roads, but they don’t play politics.

Or, at least, that’s what Minister of Education Ronald Jones said yesterday as he spoke to the media on the hot topic.

Drawing reference to calypso icon Red Plastic Bag’s 1985 song Holes, Jones said that the situation with potholes amazed him to no end as Barbadians seemed to not remember history.

He explained that while the situation with the roads was similar 32 years ago, the Opposition Barbados Labour Party was in power, showing there was nothing political behind the potholes. (AD)
