Small Crop Over loss

CREATIVE WAYS must be found to ensure that the Crop Over festival remains economically viable.

This is the position of Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley as he revealed yesterday that the National Cultural Foundation (NCF) experienced a “small deficit” for last year’s festival.

This was even after offering a grand prize of a plot of land to paying patrons to help boost gate receipts.

While he did not go into details ahead of an upcoming press conference, Lashley spoke of the loss yesterday. (YB)
