THE BARBADOS CRICKET ASSOCIATION (BCA) is taking charge of the field of play.

Cricket management at Kensington will come under the control of the BCA again, as the local governing body entered an agreement with Kensington Oval Management Inc. to rent the Oval during matches and cricket series.

Acting president Deighton Smith broke the news yesterday while announcing the BCA’s plans to attract crowds for the upcoming Regional Super50.

“We’re now entering a new arrangement with KOMI when cricket is approaching then the BCA takes over the stadium where we cover their cost, we take over the stadium and therefore the management of the stadium is entirely in the BCA’s hands. And we’re the most experienced ones in doing this so we believe that is the model that should be used,” said Smith.
