OFF-SPINNER ASHLEY NURSE starred once again for Barbados Pride as the hosts comfortably defeated ICC Americas by eight wickets at the 3Ws Oval yesterday to maintain their unbeaten record in the West Indies Cricket Board’s Regional Super50 competition.
Winning the toss and electing to bat, the ICC Americas were dismissed for an inadequate 103 in 34.2 overs before the Pride coasted to the token target, scoring 105 for two in 29 overs.
Player Of The Match Nurse took four for 26 from his spell of ten overs and also took two sharp catches in the slip cordon.
The former Deighton Griffith student reached 50 List A wickets when Jonathan Carter took a diving catch to remove the Americas’ captain Nitish Kumar for 11.
