Police investigating house fire

POLICE ARE CONDUCTING investigations into a fire of unknown origin which occurred sometime around 2 a.m. today.

It damaged the Maxwell Hill, Christ Church residence of 43-year-old Winston Clarke.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Clarke was awoken from his sleep by a crashing sound and discovered that his house was on fire.

Personnel from the Barbados Fire Service responded to the blaze and extinguished the fire.

As police investigations continue, anyone who can provide information about the fire is asked to contact Oistins Police Station at 418-2612 or 4182605, police emergency number 211, Crime Stoppers 1-800-TIPS (8477) or the nearest police station.
