Teen critical after shooting

Date:

A CHRIST CHURCH teenager is in critical condition at the Queen’s Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) after two masked intruders shot him multiple times yesterday.

Eighteen-year-old Michael Edwards was at his Bartlett Tenantry, Sargeant Village home around 2:30 p.m. when the gunmen entered his premises and shot him twice.

While Edwards was taken to the QEH, residents and family members on the scene told the WEEKEND NATION they were still disturbed by the brazen attack in broad daylight just behind the premises of Price Lo Supermarket.

“I was here next door doing my cooking. My son had now come back home to get something and I got up to put peas in my pelau . . . He said he was going to take back a cellphone and then two gunmen came down with two guns in their hands and had on masks,” a resident, who requested anonymity, said. (AD)
