UPDATE: Three children among eight injured at Constant

POLICE ARE CONDUCTING investigations into a serious accident which occurred sometime around 6:55 p.m. on Saturday along Constant Road, St George, where five adults and three minors were injured in the three-vehicle collision.

One of the cars was driven by Lorraine Corbin-Worrell, 40 years, of Kendal Land, St John.

She was accompanied by Lidia Corbin, 20; Shadari Holligan, 11 months; Jazario Browne, 4; Shareece Browne, 23; and three-year-old Tyric Browne, also of Kendal Land. 

The second motor car was driven by Anthony Harewood, 38 years, of Kendal Hill, Christ Church, who was accompanied by four-year-old Alyssa Harewood of the same address, while the third car was driven by Gordon Brathwaite, 71, of Constant.

Corbin-Worrell was freed from the car by personnel from the Barbados Fire Service. She complained for pain to the head and back, while Corbin had back pains.

Shadari and Jazario both complained for pain to the stomach; Shareece and Harewood for back and neck pains and Alyssa for pain to the body.

Brathwaite had pain in the chest and hip.

All of the injured were transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulances for medical treatment.

Two fire tenders and three ambulances – one from the Barbados Defence Force – responded to the scene of the accident.  (PR/SAT)
