UPDATE: Student struck and killed

THE GIRL who was struck and killed by a vehicle today was a student at Springer Memorial Secondary School.

The 12-year-old, whose name has not yet been released to the media, was hit while crossing the road at Lower Greys, Christ Church.

Friends and family on the scene were inconsolable.
