Forced out of business by farm

THE ESTABLISHMENT OF a chicken farm in the residential area of Lodge Road, Christ Church, has plucked the life of two nearby businesses.

That is the cry of a businessman who only gave his name as Christian, who said he has watched his once bustling nursing home and apartment businesses collapse before his very eyes.

In an interview with the WEEKEND NATION from the British Virgin Islands, where he is currently working, Christian, a medical doctor who resides in Barbados, said he was now contemplating selling the property due to the presence of Marvies Farm.

He explained that prior to the chicken farm being built next door to his businesses in 2015, Knights and Queens Nursing Home and Knights and Queens Guest House were doing well. (RB)
