Fogging Schedule for February 20 to 23

THE VECTOR CONTROL UNIT of the Ministry of Health will continue its fogging exercise in several parishes next week, as it seeks to reduce the Aedes aegypti mosquito population on the island.

On Monday, February 20, fogging will take place in St Joseph in Branchbury, Ginger Works Road, Union Road, Harewood Road, Sugar Hill, Lammings, Braggs Hill, Harbour View Road, Clemont Rock, Airy Hill, Airy Hill Tenantry and environs.

On Tuesday, February 21, the team will spray Beckles Road, Jessamine Avenue, Gully Field, Piper’s Avenue, Curwen Avenue, Clarke’s Avenue, Bay Street, Chelsea Road, Dunlow Lane, Collymore Rock, Jemmotts Lane, St Paul’s Avenue, Evelyn Avenue, Grant’s Avenue, Bay Gardens, Culloden Road and surrounding areas in St Michael.

The districts to be fogged on Wednesday, February 22, in St James will be Holetown, 1st and 2nd Street Holetown, Sunset Boulevard, Sunset Crest, Hibiscus Avenue, Cherry Avenue, Cemetery Lane, Mahoe Avenue, Palm Avenue, Cordia Avenue, Lower Carlton with Avenues, Carlton, Baird’s Road, Douglin Road, Weston, Crick Hill, Mount Standfast, Upper Weston and neighbouring districts.

On Thursday, February 23, the team will return to St James to fog Sion Hill with Avenues, Sion Hill Tenantry, Westmoreland, Upper Carlton, Brathwaite Road, Upper Rock Dundo and environs.

Fogging will be carried out between 4:30. and 7:30 p.m. each day.

Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the fog to enter. (BGIS)
